The 66RFE transmission is a 6-speed Chrysler transmission can best be described as a hybrid engineered solution that combines elements of the 68RFE and 545RE designs. The 66RFE transmission utilizes many of the same internal components and gearset as the 68RFE within a 5-45RFE case. The 66RFE transmission began manufacturing in 2012 for the gas engine Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks.
